hello all,
Does anyone know if you can contour cut JPSS transfer paper? If yes can you explain it please. I am new to this forum and am seriously looking into starting my own tee shirt business. Primarily heat transfers and vinyl cut designs. P.S. great forum with lots of info and nice people willing to help.

You can cut JPSS as long as you have a cutter that has an optic eye. You also need to put the paper on a carrier sheet. I see no need to contour cut JPSS as long as your putting it on the color shirts that it is intended for. This is white, ash gray or light heathers. Just cut close with knife or sheers. Yes you can contour cut JPSS.

Also you do not have to have a cutter with an optical eye to cut JPSS. I have a Laserpoint 24 that only has a laser and registration marks are used to contour cut. A bit more difficult to initially set up than an optical eye cutter but it can be done.

Also even though JPSS is known for not having to weed when pressed on the correct garment, I find that many times the polymer does not disappear it may turn yellowish over time. Trimming close to the design with a pair of scissors will cure that easily and quickly but if a person wants to go the extra mile, JPSS can be contour cut with the right cutter.
