We have had issues with both companies over the years.
Conde always took care of everything in the end though.
Coastal on the other hand used to have great support but that seams to have dropped off lately. We recently ordered from them and something was not in stock and were told when it would ship. It did ship, but they sent the wrong part number...they caught it before it was revived by use...they email and called to let us know which was great. But they then dropped the ball...we replied to their message 3 times and have never revived a response and also called and left a message with someone about the situation and still have not gotten a call back (its been over a week and no response from them. We had to call our client and explain that we did not know when we would receive the parts to finish their order....so they canceled it because they were needed for a retirement party. They were not happy with us, and we lost out on a $1370.00 job. We did take a deposit but I felt that it was only right to return the money since it was nothing the client did.

We will still use them....but not for anything we "need" for a job..

We used Conde when we first started (~6yrs ago), but then out of stock items and ridiculous shipping steered us to look elsewhere (as well as a grumpy CSR). We found Coastal and started using them, as well as Johnson Plastics, a handful of times. Then we found that JDS was local and have been using them for about 90% of the items we get. We still use Conde for a couple items but dread the shipping. That still blows. We also still use CB and JP, but rarely.

If JDS can stock the last few items that we have to get elsewhere, we'd be happy campers. To us, they seem to have had the best customer service over other places. They even made new PO's for us to put items on their truck that they don't even carry (but from same supplier). Ask and you shall receive. :)

I've used both. Conde tends to be more expensive with shipping charges. You can get free shipping with Coastal. Quality has been the same for me. Conde will replace broken mugs if you have an established rep relationship.
