have you had any personal experience with any of those sites cause i went through them and found none i liked, are those all of the companies? nobody has any personal recomandations? how would i go about finding a local producer of shirts?
I am going into business in the same price range. If you read the forums extensively you will find out the names of blanks providers people recommend, plus learn a lot of other things in the process.
But hey I already did the research so here are my picks :)

Alternative Apparel
Continental Clothing
District Threads

All of those companies probably have been personally recommended here at one time or another.

That's why it comes down to preference. You have to get samples and find out which brands/styles will work best for you.

You looked at every single company and every single brand in that list and didn't find one t-shirt style you liked?

You might do better specifying exactly what you're looking for, and then maybe outsourcing the garment production either to a US or international manufacturer to get something exactly to your specs.

But as you actually *try* different shirts and experience the feel and the sizing, you'll get to know which you prefer and what exactly you want in a garment.
I am also in need of quality shirts for my clothing line. Specifically, I need heavyweight, long sleeve, tall (urban style) tees. Because I need tall tees, my search becomes a little harder. I can't use brands like Hanes or Gildan. I am looking into some of the names on that long list but if anyone could narrow it down a little bit I would appreciate it very much. I need tall, heavyweight, long sleeve tees by the thousands and I need them fast!!
Thanks guys.

If you search the forums for "urban", you'll find a few good sources.

Check brands like luxe-t, proclub, saad, hood, galaxy, etc. Many of them carry "tall" shirts. You can see a distributor of them at wholesaledirectusa.com (the owner is a member here and very knowledgeable about different t-shirt brands...drop him a line and I bet he can help you) and yodaddytees.com
Just wanted to share my experience with one of them, I talked to a sales rep of Stanton, and the guy basically blew me off, probably cause my order size was fairly small. It's too bad cause they are really local and we probably could have used them easily. They said they were going to send an email that I have yet to get in 2 weeks. That's just my personal experience, others might vary.
I want to add two company's that I stand by. The first choice is Luxe-T, I feel that these t-shirts are the next best thing in the industry. The second and people don't tend to agree with me but if you are looking for a really nice cheap t-shirt the shirts at Costco (Kirkland) are really nice. They will shrink but they are pretty thick and have a good white color not that bleached yellow look or whitish blue.

No he can't; it's not his list.

You'd need to contact the folks at screenprinters.net to get on the list there. I think they have the contact information on their links page.

I agree that the Costco (Kirkland brand) shirts look nice. They feel soft and has a good white color. Does anybody know any comparable shirt like the Kirkland brand? The Kirkland brand is about 2.56/shirt. From what I have been reading in this forum, a good shirt can be around $1.55-2.00/shirt. Just thinking about my bottom line.

I think you just have to give them a call (or send them an email) to setup an account: TSC Apparel

They also do relabeling

Many wholesalers prefer that their pricing not be posted in public forums, so I couldn't really share the exact price. But I think they have the same (or similar) upcharge for large sizes as most wholesalers.
