I'm having issues with my toyota embroidery machine talking to the computer.. When I got the error I checked the connection and the serial port attached to the machine was loose. We had a real bad thunder storm this morning but I'm not sure if that caused the problem or not. Any advise? Should I get a embroidery machine expert or a computer expert?

Karen, Just a tiny bit of advice. Try turning your computer and your machine, off. Let them both stay off a couple of minutes, and then restart them. AND double check your serial port connection. Maybe that will make a difference.....it can't hurt.

It's scary how often wiggling cables and rebooting solves problems.

Thanks all! Turns out it was a computer issue. The serial port died. Pantograms recommended an adapter that fixed the problem.
