In the past if I wanted to layer text I just did so with regular vinyl. But if I'm using glitter I want to "weld" the text so it cuts out the graphic instead of laying on top. I use cadworx and if I have two different color texts and select weld it changes it to all the same color. If I use combine or condense it doesn't give me the cut lines I looking for. Is there a way to attach a pic of what I want to do? I'm afraid I'm not explaining it right.

I want to keep the separate colors but have the S and the L's cut into the R and the T like pictured.

You definitely don't want weld. We use Coreldraw and would use the Simplify tool. Not sure if there is a similar command in Cadworx.

Basically you would place Softball on top of riot where you want it in your program and the simplify tool would remove everything on Riot that was below Softball.

bear in mind you will get some slight shrinkage when tacking the individual first layers

so if you don't want any overlap-lines use an expand function to make your cutout slightly larger

I would outline softball-- make the outline thick as the space ya want--- separate the outline and cut it out :0)
