Total newbie so have mercy... I'm new to the tshirt biz and can figure out the graphic design part along the way. but I am clueless about the details of going from digital artwork to a printout that can be put on a tshirt.
Is there a step by step guide that might help me? The papers I have seen printed are just gray or black so how do the people working n the actual screens know what colors to use? When I print does the text need to be converted to "curves" first? Little things like this would be helpful to me. Thanks

Generally, it is safest to convert text to curves. I assume when you say papers you mean film?

All of this will depend on your printer. Each has their own requirements for artwork. So get specific instructions from them how they want your digital files.
