I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on seperating a logo into colors, I'm using the program paint pro 8 or photo cs, I've tried cmyk seperations and it Just dont seem right If anyone could give me some priendly advice I sure would apriciate it. thanks

The only other way to do it would be to use spot separations. Not sure if you can change them all to pantone in photoshop. You may have to recreate the logo in vector then choose the pantone colors you want.

Here is what I do. In photoshop, on the top toolbar is the select button, click it and select color range, in the box that comes up select one of the colors in your design and hit ok, then copy that selection and create a new layer. Then paste what you copyied to the new layer, then do the same thing for each color in your design, putting each color on its own layer. This way has worked for me, but may not be very feasible if the colors in your design blend together alot. Hope it helps!
