I am sublimating onto a Sport Tec st700 100% ring spun polyester shirt. Using a medium density foam pad eliminate creases from the transfer paper. The image looks great - very crisp with vibrant colors. My problem is the shirt is discolored in a square the size of the foam pad. I have experimented with temps as low as 380 and duration as low as 40 seconds and I still see the discoloration on the shirt. My pressure is just enough to compress the foam by about one third to one half. When I lift the transfer paper, I see a faint box in the same color as the shirt and equal to the size of the foam pad - the color of the shirt is transferring to the paper. Any thoughts?

Are you using quick release sub paper?. I normally only go for 20 seconds max on lightish pressure.If your new to sublimation it takes time to work it out but you need good paper.

Tried it for 20 seconds at 400 degrees - same result except colors were less vibrant. These are very light performance t's. I may try vapor apparel ... I just don't think these will work

Using TexPrint-R paper -- recommended for Ricoh printer

Is it a colored shirt? those are the toughest. White is what I push for those shirts. vapor/back country great shirts to work with, cheaper and print really well. Also A4 white is a great shirt. good luck uncletee.

Yes. Unfortunately, I have a customer that wants just about anything except white.
