Which brand of dark ink-jet heat transfer paper were you using?

I was using Jet Dark. I was pressing on a magenta kids coat and the color bleed through and turned the whole transfer pink - hot pink. So what I ended up doing ( Since I didn't want to buy a new coat) was used EasyWeed and Cut a contour a little larger than the transfer I wanted. I applied the easy week 1st, then the transfer on top of it. Since easy weed temperature is 305 and the other is 350, I just applied it at the 305 and pressed for 30 seconds in 2 different intervals. The color did not bleed through and I have my fingers crossed it will make it through the winter, but It looked good.

Some polyester or cotton blend fabric has dye migration issue. I would suggest to use 100% cotton instead.

How was the feel when you layered the two transfer?

Hopefully the transfer will stay on the easyweed after few washes. Good luck.

So you put vinyl on top of a previous transfer then added another transfer on top of the vinyl? I'm not surprised it didn't wash well!

You should really have tested a small, hidden area first for bleed-through.
