I wanted to show that i am getting great black color with Cobra ink this is with the little Epson 13x19.

I let Photoshop manage the color and my colors are dead on to what my monitor shows me even shades of red and blue

Here is the Black i am getting very good black.

So you don't use a sublimation profile?

I know Cobra has some, and you also can make your own profiles.

But I say one could do a test and print different blacks with different profiles, i.e. regular printer profile and sub profiles, and press and see how it turns out.

Did you press that on brushed gold aluminum?

Nice post. Cobra has a very good black, most peoples troubles is not understanding that many black issues are not from the "K" inks, but rather the graphics programs and/or printer synthesizing a black from CMY colors.

The correct dwell time is important too in achieving a good black, K or CMY black either case.
If I recall it was mainly us who sublimate Nike Elites that were complaining about how light the black printed on our designs. When used on thinner non-Nike Elite socks results are spot on. Supposedly the newer high temp ink is supposed to correct that? I'll know in a few days as I just emptied my last 4oz. of Red and ordered the new high temp inks.

I exclusively print with Cobra Inks profiles.

High Temp Ink = Sublimation Ink. No more or less, it's the same thing. It's what Cobra is calling it.

I'm fully aware of that. I call it that to stave off any banter from disgruntled sublimation ink elitist who can't stand Cobra Ink for getting us little guys in the sublimating arena.

No more. No less.

Re-reading your post ... you mentioned newer hi temp ink .... so my bad, I mis-read you. :D
Let us know how the new order of ink does.

I've used Cobra hi-temp ink and didn't notice any problems.

Also when you use a sublimation type profile, make sure you are letting the software, i.e. Corel manage colors and not the printer. Sometimes I forget that part.
