I just got my new Cobra Ink Hi-Temp CIS system 2 days ago. I'm installing this system on a new Epson 1430 printer. I followed the video to fill the ink carts using the syringe supplied and all carts filled as they should except the Cyan. The syringe will not suck the ink from the tank into the tube. There appears to be something blocking the passage so no air/ink can be pulled through. The only thing I can see that might be the problem is the Cyan tube as it goes in to the cart. The tube makes a sharp bend before it connects to the cart and the tube looks like it is kinked. I called Richard about this but he has not responded and I need to get this fixed. I tried to pull the tube both directions to relieve the kink but it still won't suck the ink through. I can see a very small amount of ink (about 1/2") as it leaves the tank, but thats as far as it goes. Can I pull the tube out of the cart and the tank to check for proper flow? There has to be an obstruction somewhere. I'm afraid to start pulling things apart but lack of response from Cobra has me grabbing at straws. Got any ideas?

Saw where 95 people viewed this post, but no help offered so I'm assuming no one has hit this problem before.
Turns out the little nozzle/fitting going in to the cart had no hole in it to transfer ink to the cart. Looks like a manufacturer defect. The people I bought the system from are sending me a new one overnite.
All ended well, so far.

Just read it and I would've told to you to relax. Richard and Cobra Ink aren't a "BIG" 24/7 operation but they will eventually get back to you. And when they do a solution is usually rendered to get the end user back to work printing and making money.

From my experience they were always fair and never once have I been charged for anything that other companies may have blamed on the end user.

Glad you got the experience first hand. So now you know. And knowing is (always) half the battle.

Some of us that viewed but didn't respond are contemplating doing business with COBRA and wanted to see how your situation was handled :)
