Hello everyone! I have a couple of questions that I would really need to get some answers too. Ok I am doing some coach's jackets for a local sorority and they want there line name embroidered on the collar. Sounds simple right? Well they want the embroidery to be placed so that when the collar is fliped up the embroidery is visible my problem is what stabilizer should I use that will not allow the stabilizer to show? (Boy I hope someone understands this). My next question is. What type of stabilizer would you recommend for doing t-shirts? And also could you explain your process for embroidering them? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure that I understand.
They want the embroidery to show when the collar is flipped up?
So, that would mean when the collar is down you are seeing the back of the embroidery?
The only thing I can think of is using a washaway stabilizer and match your bobbin thread to the top thread.
But, I think you need to sew out a sample and show them what this will look like. Go to Goodwill or some other resale shop and buy a cheap jacket to practice on. I don't think it is going to look like what they envision.
For t-shirts I use a polymesh stabilizer. The process to embroider is the same as for anything else. Correct hooping, correct stabilizer, correct needle (ball point) and correct tension.

Oh my I was afraid of my not explaining this but you got it. I have seen this done on other jackets but i just don't know how it is done where the stabilizer does not show. This polymesh stabilizer is it a cutaway or tearaway ? Thanks for your help.
