I would think that this would be no problem. I like your idea about the spare, though I'm not sure if the RIP would configure this without actually moving the physical location of the head or just the "wires" firing it. Since the platform is configurable for 3 and 6 dual channel heads, perhaps if you call them they could do a custom "4 dual". It probably would not be cost effective for the extra expense and the fact that you could not load it fast enough get more shirts per hour.
CMYK only on MP5
i need a new dtg printer this year, i only do cmyk, im currently torn between the new brother and the MP5, can any MP5 owners tell me how this is setup with the 3 printheads ? can you utilise the printhead that would have been used for white in a dual cmyk fashion like on a epson based dtg ? or would i have to fill the white channels with cleaning solution carts ? if i did have to do this would it effectively give me a spare print head in case of problems ?
