[CLOTHING LINES] Selling t-shirts to retailers: What are common minimums and delivery times?

t-shirt community, if anyone can assist with a couple of these newjack questions regarding trying to sell shirts to retailers, mucho appreciated:

For an unknown brand, what would be a typical or appropriate order minimum quantity wise? 10-15?

Do you need a firm delivery date, or maybe if stores know you don't have inventory, would a loose date (like "the week of") be unprofessional?

What kind of turnaround is typical for delivery? 2-3 weeks?

Very newbie question, do you need a license/tax id to sell to retail? Or when starting out, you can use your SS# for tax purposes?

IMO when you are starting out and trying to sell to retail stores, you need to print your shirts, sell them as few as they want and deliver them immediately.....You need to gain a foothold and any obstacle such as minimum order, delayed delivery, etc. may cause you to lose ground...
