Can someone advise how and when you might use the red clog prevention solution? I would just like to know as I really have no idea and it was not covered in our training.
Careful not to puddle or pool in the capping station. If head seats on capping station with it full of fluid it can start a syphon action resulting in sucking ink out thru capping station. Or cross contamination. At least that has been my experience in other printers. I am sure AA will chime in soon. I do what C said just not to much.
The red hms from Belquette is really powerful stuff. I wouldn't let it sit in the capping station overnight. Maybe a half hour or so but no more. It will delaminate your head just as quick as ammonia. It's a cleaner not a flush. Like using bleach in laundry. It's fine if you use it right.
I use ot if i have a real bad clog. I soak one of the spong swabs and brush it across the print head pulling from back to front across the entire print head. Then i do an F3 cleaning. I've only had to do this if i haven't printed shirts for awhile. But still do daily maintenance. I've found that when i print shirts everyday i havent had any clogs. My thought is that not printing everyday the pigment in the white ink starts to settle in the print head and gets to thick to flow (starts to solidify ).
