I just got a plotter. I ordered a roll of clear transfer tape. I found that it does not like heat. What are you suppose to use the clear for?
In the past I have only applied vinyl with the paper tape, and had no issues.

i am using the plotter to make vehicle decals and graphics. i used the clear tape on the first decals i cut. I am having a hard time getting the tape to release from the vinyl. I thought I could use a heat gun to make the vinyl stick better, but as soon as i put heat to it the clear tape wants to crinkle. This has a bad effect on the vinyl beneath it. I think I am going to have to scrap the decals and use the the paper tape next time.

IIRC, the paper tape is high tack while the clear tape is medium tack. This varies with manufacturer of course. I'm referring to R-Tape 4075 high tack and AT-60 clear choice. I have not had an issue at all with the AT-60.
