Cis ink doing a houdini!

Ok..last night around 11pm my wife remarked how the cyan in my CIS (pigment) was very low. This morning ALL of my inks were basically gone! Crazy question...but would the heat from a lamp add in vaporizing the ink? Also is it feasible to go from CIS to straight refillable cartridges?:( :confused:
