Hello everyone, I am starting an urban streetwear line but I am undecided about what it should be called. Help choosing one below or commenting with a reference of your own would be very much appreciated:

Idea 1) Savage Label
Idea 2) Urban Savage
Idea 3) Savage Design
Idea 4) Savage Department

Do not be afraid to comment with some of your own, it would be really helpful.

Nothing wrong with asking for opinions on the forum, obviously, but you would be better off asking this question to people who are within your target audience. You need a focus group, not feedback from industry peers. That said, I think Savage Label is the best of the group. But I probably wouldn't buy a shirt from any of them. I'm probably not your target consumer.

When coming up with a name for a brand, especially without already being someone famous (which means you could just name it after yourself :) ), I think you should try to evoke some type of feeling, emotion, or imagery.

It's clear you like the word "Savage", and that brings about some interesting imagery to me. What is it about "Savage" that you like, and why do you want what "Savage" portrays to be what your brand is about?

Those are questions you need to ask yourself and find the answers to. If you know, let us know, and we can help you better.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with it, just that you need to be clear on what kind of things you want to evoke with your brand.

My best advise is to do nothing.

Live with the names for a while, speak to your target market and ask them. Take your time.

It took me 2 years to develop my logo, but it was well worth it. I have something that nearly all my target market love and it represents my brand perfectly. But if I hadn't taken the time to think, chat to people and develop it, the logo wouldn't even be a tenth of what it is now.

You can still work on shirt designs whilst you think about it - you may well go in a different direction entirely.
