Was wondering if anyone has tried one of these cheap Graphtec Blade holders ? I know that precision had a lot to do with the spring mechanism , but would I am on a tight budget and want to see if I can get by with one of these ? Maybe buy some nicer blades ? Also wondering which holder would work for all vinyl types, (shirt vinyl etc) do most of you use the UB15 holder ? Thanks much for any input !

Bump ... does anyone use anything BUT a Graphtec holder ? Thanks
I bought this one from specialty graphics: SGS Graphtec 1.5mm CB15 Blade Holder It was ok and it does the job but i definitely recommend the OEM graphtec blade holders - it works so much better. I have the Red tip (CB15U) to cut rhinestone templates and the blue tip(CB09U) to cut vinyl. I also made another post similar to this... check it out http://www.t-shirtforums.com/rhinestone-decoration/t159540-3.html

Good luck

Hey thanks a lot for the input Aj, was kind of thinking that may be the better route but was going to try and slide by. However I assume the spring mechanism is the best for small cuts in the Original part.. The link was very informative as well , cheers .. have a great weekend !!:D Happy ST patty's day !
I have had no trouble with the one from Specialty Graphics, it's the one I use thmost I also use the blades they have, I go thru a lot of blades but I cut 99.9% glitter material.
I got one of those cheap cb09u blade holder with 60 degree blades and use it to cut heat transfer vinyl and calendar vinyl without any problems. Just make test cuts until your happy with the cut.

I bought two of them and the one I use to cut reflective vinyl and it has worked fine.
Actually when you say cheap, I consider it made better than Graphtecs plastic ones.
