Hello,
I have many text ideas for tshirts but run across the problem alot of others have, i have no graphics. I have a little knowledge of photoshop and vectors and can get by, but im just not artsy like some of these designers.

I am wondering, if I say download a picture of a banana that is copyrighted, I then change the banana to have more effects, and maybe outline it, maybe even change the color...does this void the copyright if they can not identify it as their own?

Seems shady I know, just trying to figure out what I can and can not do.

If you have to ask then most likely it isn't kosher. Somewhere in a galaxy not so far away and who knows how long ago a rumor started circulating about changing someone else's picture by a certain percent and you are golden.

If the originator of this banana image can't identify the image as his/her own, I would say you're good to go.

Don't touch anything copyrighted. Legal issues to follow as well as moral ones. Would you want someone stealing your art for profit? I certainly hope not.
