I have a HM1 printer and I have been using the DTG bright v02 ink. I would like to know if it would be okay to use the Dupont fastink3. And if so do I need to do a flush. Thanks

hey patti,

is there any big difference for DtgTex & DTG bright ink ?
Thanks
I believe they are the same ink just different label. Anyway u should not have any problems mixing those inks. Both dupont. If u change to one of new whites such as resolute or T print I would flush the white.

Patti,

I also believe it's the same ink, the only consideration is if you still have warranty on the HM1, if you do it could void your warranty by changing ink distributors.

Hope this helps.
I agree with Jon, changing the ink could cause problems with your warranty but the minute your warranty is up switch all you want..

We tried dtginks All American and FastInk before we finally settled on Belquette Bag Inks but we were always very happy with dtginks

Its not necessary to flush, but if the bottom ink is old or you are not sure how old it is maybe flush it. Take out the old ink and run it through a metal strainer (find them at Target) clean out the bottles with hot distilled water and little bit of Windex..Remember changing out ink you are adding old ink to new ink even though you mix/shake them any particles that were in either ink is gonna cause clogs and potential problems.

Depending on your printer the new bottles also may not fit your printer holders. I know when we had bottles we had to use the original bottles because the other bottles did not fit in our holders.

Hi FatKat,

So what brand would you suggest if we change our mind to use DTGinks ?

Exact Ink

DTGInks

Dan, filtered this ink before every order so you get fresh ink at the time of the order not something that has been sitting on a shelf waiting to be ordered

His parts prices are the best too..
