Can't move shape to exact location

It seems like whenever I cut and paste something and I need to move it to an exact location to it fits in the image, I am usually unable to drag the image where it needs to be. It always skips over the place where I want it. Anybody know how to fix this?

You may have "Snap" on? This is where you can tell photoshop to "snap" to a guideline or object etc. Go to the "View" menu and look down towards the bottom, there is "Snap" which you just click on to turn it on or off, there is also "Snap to" which gives you options of what you want to snap to.

I would have guessed snap on too

If you turn on the grid you can see where it will snap on to.

The Snap options are generally very helpful. Generally....

You can override the Snap options by holding down the Control Key (Command Key on the Mac) while moving your selection.
