i bought a 20 amp 32 volt fuse because someone at radio shack said it was equivalent but that didnt work either.

What brand of Heat Press is it? Have you checked with the manufacture?
A 250 volt fuse is not the same as 32 volt. try www.opentip.com.

This is a 20 Amp 250 Volt fuse. I believe the L stands for current-limiting.
They have 250 volt fuses at most Radio Shacks, if not go to the local auto parts store.
The fuse for my heat press is the same as a microwave fuse. Got it at Lowe's. Bad thing is that it came in a variety pack. Paid like 9 dollars and threw out the other 6 fuses, different sizes. They are gray in the middle with metal on the ends.

i got my heat press from 123heatpress on ebay but they never responded back. i have checked radio shak and a number of autoparts stores and no one there know jack about fuses.
can you tell me where was the fuse located on your press as am having trouble locating it on mine .. tHANKS
or maybe this NTE Electronics 6 X 30mm Ceramic Slow Blow 20A 5 Pack | 74-6SC20A-C (746SC20AC) | NTE Electronics

would be easier to help you if you posted a picture of the old fuse next to a ruler.
not sure as I cant even locate the fuse :( any idea where it might be? Thanks
what brand and model press do you have?
can you also post a pic of the circuit board?
Amazon carries the above mentioned fuse number
Jay here is a pic you asked for.. Thanks.. I located the fuse by the way and every time we change the fuse it blows when we plug the t shirt plate in, any ideas why this is happening would be great Thanks..

Sounds like the heating element might have gone bad or it has a short somewhere. When a fuse constantly keeps blowing out it means there is a problem within the circuit. i would call the manufacturer and see if they would troubleshoot it for you. It's best not to tinker too much trying to second guess the cause without being sure. Some of these presses can become fire hazards real quick. What brand is the press?
not sure what make it is just know it was bought from sublimagic and getting hold of them is a hassle as they dont answer the phone really boils my blood!!! all we seem to do is e mail back and forth not good customer service if you ask me... Myself and my business partner are thinking a replacement or better still money back and go else where for a new press.....Only had the press for 5 days and lost way too much business already.. Thanks for your help though, much appreciated.. :)
all I know is it is a 5 in 1 and the 30x30 plate.. waiting on my electrician to send me model and serial number if this may help... I am new to the press side of things...
oh yes, the infamous 5 in 1 press. Seen many of those with numerous problems. If it's just the t shirt platen that blows the fuse and not the other attachments then most likely the heating element inside the t shirt attachment has gone bad or the connection wiring has shorted out. Hope you get your machine working again and try and save up for a name brand press, they are high priced but well worth it. True workhorses. Good luck
