So I've made some warped text in Illustrator but whenever I try to copy any of it to another document it flattens out - all the warped attributes are gone.

My T-shirt guy (I'm the designer) is trying to do separations for screen printing and he is have a hard time with this.

Has anybody ever encountered this before? Is there a fix?

Go to object>expand appearance and see if that does the trick.

^This. Once you get your image exactly how you want it (because once you do this you cant correct it without undoing it) then go object>expand.

Also, If you want to keep the text editable, and still in the warp envelope, when you copy from one document to another, make sure Object --> Envelope Distort is set to edit envelope, not contents. It is possible that you were copying the text out of your warp envelope.

However, whenever you are sending files to someone else for printing, it is a good idea to expand appearances, fonts and envelopes. I even outline strokes because glitches can arise.
