Hi. I run a small non profit that records audio comics for the blind. I have been in the print industry (large format inkjet, ecosol, flatbed) and small format high volume (50,000 clicks per week, written, edited, layed out, printed, and bound by me) so I am no stranger to technology or hard work. I am trying to learn something new here and find a small setup for doing the printing of our shirts. They market to a small niche, and account for most of our fundraising. Any and all advice you can give would be appreciated as I learn the ins and outs of a new thing.
Regards,
Jarrett Towe
ps, I would think runs this small could be manual, but you know better. Are there small machines that can be upgraded to automatic later?
Apologies in advance for the numerous bad questions and assumptions I will make.

Are you talking about printing 100-200 shirts (of the same design) once a month?

If so, I'd be surprised if contract printing prices are higher than what you'd have in it by doing the printing yourself.

How many colors is the design? And, what do you pay to get it printed?
