I am trying to use the cameo silhouette machine to cut out my design from my jpss paper. I drag the design into the silhouette software and I see my design on top of the matt.

My question is ...what is my next step?

The instructional video is a bit confusing! I am literally willing to pay somone via paypal if they can just help me with this. I joined the cameo silhouette page on facebook but they still have yet to accept me as a member so I can post my question there.

T shirt forum please help

if you are wanting to contour cut.....print out the image with registration marks...on regular paper...then put in the Cameo...the optic eye will read the registration marks and cut around the image...be sure to use the cutting mat

John, you may want to head over to YouTube and see what's available there(search: cameo silhouette).

Here's a couple of vids that might help...

up in the right hand corner is the button or tab for registration marks. But make sure you have your correct paper size already chosen. Ive actually found that the silhouette software is very user friendly. Once you have registration marks on your image, print it and stick it to the backer board. Feed the board into the cameo then go back to the software and in the top left hand corner next to the printer icon(6th one over)is send to the silhouette. Click on that over on the right you will see click here to print and click here to skip printing(if you already printed it on another printer , skip it).Click continue then click detect registration marks(if for some reason the eye doesnt see that first one , your:D cutting matt may not be in far enough. After its detected click cut. And now it should cut your image, assuming you already have a cut outline or trace around your image. If you have any questions message me.

This is an old post and have the same question on how to create registration marks for opaque transfer papers for contour cuts. I searched a lot of forums and this video (link below) explained how to do it. It seems like there is a plugin for Adobe or Corel for this particular printer. You can add registration marks or convert a rectangular image to reg mark and print your image to contour cut.

I am still looking for a contour cutting machine but just like to make sure this Graphtec cameo silhoette cutter can really do this. If there's anyone there that actually have this machine, please confirm.

Thanks.

I have this machine and yes it can contour cut. Best thing to do is setup your page with reg marks first and resize your graphic to fit inside the boundaries of the reg marks. Do an OUTLINE trace, print on your printer then put it in the Cameo. It will detect the reg marks and the cut the trace line. Works very well.

I only use Make The Cut Software, have not used the native software. MTC is easy to learn, super support and full featured. PNC is spot on.
I guess I am not patient. I bought the MTC right after I got my Cameo. I installed it on my PC, and never used it. I get around pretty good in the Silhouette Studio software though. I open MTC every now and then, but I have never cut a single design. It just doesn't seem as intuitive as SS. I guess I just want to make shirts not study software :)
