I have purchased the cameo connect plug in for illustrator..my problem starts when I import and image into illustrator and add wording.......to the plug in and only the letters get sent to the cutter........

I've not used the Silhouette Connect software, but have read up on it. When cutting, I believe you can either select the layer within illustrator or coreldraw you want to cut, or you can cut by colour?...maybe the items are on different layers, and you are only cutting 1 layer or colour?...

I wouldn't bother spending three money on it.....it is really quite useless.....I was able to do my designs in illustrator without the plugin.....and they worked everytime....keep the cash in your pocket...YouTube is your friend.

But isn't the Connect software just a plugin for illustrator and Coreldraw to allow you to cut out your designs?...what software do you use to cut your designs?...

I don't have the Silhouette connect software, but in what few videos I've seen of it action, it just seems like that all it does is export from Corel and open the Silhouette studio software for you...I'm guessing it might do more, but my initial reaction was that I can that myself and keep that $39 for more vinyl.

Total waste of cash in real Honesty....Youtube is your friend...lots of stuff to learn from using Illustrator etc......I emailed Silhouette america raising my concerns 3 days ago and I am still waiting for an answer....not good customer service

I would tell Glen how to do it but that is why I posted this thread as I don't know.....

I said YouTube was your friend as anything I have learnt has been beneficial but it still doesn't solve my problem with silhouette connect..........
