I've just bought an Epson F2000 .. so this sort of info is great for me. I have a print background mainly screen printing and Solvent printing (Mimaki) so could do with any nuggets of wisdom.Circulation uses no ink. Head cleaning uses ink.
White Channels x 4
Light Cleaning Cycle = 2ml
Medium Cleaning Cycle = 18ml
Heavy Cleaning Cycle = 54ml
Most users turn off the auto start up clean because that's a medium clean and is not required to clean the white channels if you're using the printer daily. You should be able to get away with one or two light cleans . If the printer has sat for a couple of days you will have to do a medium clean to clear the white channels.
Also, providing you are using the latest firmware, every 6hrs of print time the F2000 will auto clean the white channels which is a medium clean. This is unavoidable.
How do you turn off auto clean? I never notice it cleaning except that I thought it does it when I turn it on. Usually takes like 8 minutes to "circulate" and I thought that was a cleaningCirculation uses no ink. Head cleaning uses ink.
