cadworx live question

Can you export your design from cadworx live to corel draw? I tried it and when it gets exported to corel its always missing something like a letter or something. its always just one thing missing. why would that occur?

I'm having the same issue exporting an eps file to Illustrator CS.

It's really strange -- the last character in a text line goes missing, or has no fill.

Did you ever get an answer?

I'm using a mac, and tried both Safari and Firefox as my browsers. (Snow Leopard, if that helps with the big picture.)

I get that too when exporting eps files to Illustrator. Maybe we should ask Cadworx's support techs.

What type of design are you doing and how are you exporting it?

Any design I create in Cadworx. When I export as an .eps file, there is always one part of the design (letter or graphic) that is not filled. You only get an outline.

I have gotten accustomed to that so I just use Illustrator to fill it in.

If you haven't reported this issue to them I would suggest you do so. They can't fix what they don't know about.
I have had issues with Ill files coming into Corel and some shapes not filling or the entire design looking like it is blank only to find for some reason all the color was removed. I think it is just some odd thing with the program.

It might still be there - just maybe it didn't transfer as a closed object. Look at it in wireframe view and see if the shape is still in there somewhere .... maybe?

did you ever figure this out? Im having trouble making my image from cadworx which i dont vectorize and send to corel come out as a readable image in corel for my cutter I use great cut but any corel image i save does not work at all ?

Have you tried exporting to .pdf? I've had success exporting Cadworxlive designs to .pdf and importing them into Corel.

Hello,
To export files from CadworX Live Design Studio and Easy Teams designers for Corel and Adobe Illustrator...
Simply select FILE/EXPORT to export your file from Design Studio in any of these formats. Export file types; Raster: .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png. Vector: .ps, .eps, .emf, .pdf, .plt, .pltx, .cadx.

*You may experience an issue with the .eps format as it not fully compatible with Corel or Illustrator.
At this time we suggest that customers use the .pdf format for importing/exporting.
