Cad Cut Materials and Foil

Does anyone know if foil will adhere to any cad cut materials (besides the thermal adhesive)?

Vendors are carrying foil that now adhers to vinyls. I believe Imprintables carries it and if not stahls. I have used it with quick print from IW. The trick is to print it with a color close to the foil color and then heat press the foil to the vinyl. Similar to how they do with screen printer and how it was done for years with foil and a laser printer. The foil fuses to the properties in the ink.
The heat transfer foil applies pretty well to Thermo-FILM, but results are most consistent with the Thermal Adhesive.
Thanks Josh

I just don't like cutting/weeding the thermal adhesive especially if it is anything except bold letters...it give me FITS.

Cad cut thermal adhesive with a slight sticky backing would be my suggestion :)

I agree - the thermo adheasive works very well, but has two drawbacks in weeding, if you accidently pull up a small part of the design, you could have a hard time re-aligning it, and getting all the small parts of the design weeded out can be difficult to see. A sticking backing would help tremendiously.

If too heavy of a pressure is used on the adhesive too much of it will be driven into the fabric. When this happens there is not as much adhesive for the foil to stick to.

Also make sure to ensure even pressure when applying foil, such as using a Teflon Pillow or Print Perfect Pad around seems, collars, etc.

The new Cad Cut Adhesive mentioned above is further formulated to work with Foil.
