I have a C88+ and a c120...not had a problem with either. I have sublimation ink in the C88 and also in a 1400. the C120 I have only used with OEM ink. Are the black dots splattered around or just printing the black dots instead of the image?

I have a cis system hooked to it with airtanium ink. The black dots show up where there shouldn't be any information to print. Awhile back I read post about other people having this problem. This is the second c88 printer that has done this. I talked to conde about this and other people reported the same problem.

This is a problem with the C88 and C120 printers. It is just that they use a "cheap" print head. It does not happen in the other larger printers. It can be happen off and on, and will happen with the Epson ink also, but you can not see it on the paper with any ink. When you sublimatate the transfer, everything gets a little bigger, and that is why you can see it on the final product. You can decrease it a bit sometimes by manually cleaning the bottom of the print head and the capping station.

I have been tossing this around also. I thought this was an ink problem, I get this especially on mugs, unless I crop completely around the image being sublimated. I get a grey ghost. This happened right after I switched to the C88 printer system with CIS Another issues I have noticed, is I currently have paper from two suppliers, if I don't print everything I have sublimated within 2 days on the one paper, the ink has a definate red cast to it. Any thoughts on this. The second paper doesn't have this red cast. Is there a site that state how to clean the print heads etc; I have been doing sublimation now for 5 years, it could be computer programmer error, but I don't think so :D
