The C120 Printers don't have a maintenance tank all they have is a couple of layers of cotton in the bottom of them to absorb the ink that is dumped during head cleanings and start up. I would guess that the bottom of your printer is saturated with ink.
C120 dumping ink out the bottom?
I went to move my printer and noticed I had a "pool" of black ink underneath. I think that either the printer was bad, or maybe a valve or something in the ink cartridge? Anyone have any ideas?

Yep, i used the printer for a few sheets of jetsetpro paper and then it sat..and today I noticed it had dumped a TON of ink underneath it. Any cause for this?
The printer was new (believe refurb? from Epson) and ink cartridges new
Here are some pics of the capping station and waste ink system on a C120. You see the little tube leading from the capping station. That is where all ink from cleanings, Charging, and start ups goes. This is what the inside of a never used refurb looks like. you can see that there is already a fair amount of ink stain on padding
