Hi we turned off all windows updates to the laptop that attaches to the viper we then turned the printer off at the wall updated the drivers and reconnected the viper we then turned it off for 24 hrs and before turning on cleaned and reset all the ink carts then turned it on and it worked we have been told that it is the connectors in the ink bay need replacing and the boards cables etc but we are sick of pouring money into the printer we have had nothing but trouble with it since we bought it and they cost thousands every time something goes wrong so we just muddle on

Thanks I will try all of that...this printer drives me crazy, definitely a money pit! I can reset the cartridge and looks to be cleared and fine but when I lower the lever it says please wait and back to the same blinking 0. Very frustrating...I replaced the sensor in the cartridge and now I’m debating what to do next if this does not work. A whole ink bay change possibly. Have you heard anything about the ink chip decoders??

Here is what I have done: I replaced the ink chip sensor. This wasn't easy, I had to basically rebuild the whole left side bay (Right side if looking from the back). It was the ink bay closest to the side, so that meant I had to take apart the whole stack to replace that one $3.00 sensor. Anyway, that was done, and all went fine until I went to do a power cleaning and found out that the switch attached to that whole assembly was broken. I replaced the switch, and all seemed to go fine. Then I got an error that I needed to set ink cartridge (not the same one that I originally changed out). So I reset that ink cartridge (actually, I completely replaced it) and now I am back to getting that same original error that my first ink cartridge slot needs to be set. If I move around the cartridges, I keep getting the same error that it is in the first slot (one closest to the side that the White in is on). If, however, I put in a bad chip in say, the third slot, I get an error that I only need to set the ink cartridge in that third slot, and the first slot is fine. I reset that cartridge with a good chip, and error moves back to first slot. I am about to throw this thing, but it is too heavy. Anyone have any recommendations? I have been down for almost a month, and I just replaced the print head. Very frustrating.
