Hello All
I appreciate all of the great information you guys are willing to share with a newcomerj on this Forum- Especially Mr. Charles who has spent his valuable time with me on the phone.

Coming from the golf business-i know alot has to do with personal preference- Some people like Ping Irons "Some like Callaways" but underneath techically they preform exactly the same.Marketing just convinces our mind that one is better than the other.

So in saying that we are getting into the Sublimation and Vinyl Transfer Business and "think "i have my equipment picked out "HAVENT PULLED THE TRIGGER YET" but plan on this coming week. I would appreciate any additional comments PRO or CON concerning my final Selections.

1.GCC Puma III Vinyl Cutter over the Roland GX-24

2. George Knight DK20s Heat press

3.Ricoh GX7000 w/sublijet ink(may still go back to Epson 1100 with Cobra cis)

Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated and welcomed

Thanks
Randy

I think the Zencut from UScutter is just a rebranded GCC so you might save some money there. Also I have herd the only difference in a GX over the workforce is you can leave the GX sitting longer.

We miss Charles being on the forum...he's a wealth of knowledge and hope he's doing well in his retail store.

I believe that equipment will be a fine start getting into sublimation....nothing that I see in your list that is low quality or problematic, you should be fine.

Hope this helps.
Good choices. This equipment is above adverage and should work well and long for you. Seems you have done your homework and everyone here is always ready to help you.
Yes Zencut is a rebranded GCC.....But it does not come with Great Cut software....You get a 1 year Signcut licence or have to buy extra software....Also, there are lots of re-branded GCC cutters being sold so there are other options....Both Orway and JotoPaper have rebranded GCC Cutters....

I have an Expert 24 and will buy an Expert 24LX when it comes out in the fall...The LX model has a flat bed and does contour cuts....All for about 800.00....

If you watch the Summa outlet store you can sometimes find "refurbished" ones for a very good price....

PS....The folks at JotoPaper say there is no way a Zencur is a GCC because it is too cheap....Not sure how they can make that opinion based on what I have read about Zencut so far....
I agree with your choice of the gx7000.
Make sure you use the ICC profile.
a us cutters zen cut is good. i have my work force 1100 and it works ok. the only problem it gives if it touches a wrinkle paper i usually have to do a head clean. i like the cobra ink system with the built in ciss at the side but i went for cost effectiveness i used refillable carts. i started with a 1100 and heat transfer inks for regular t shirts and a work force 40 cause it was refurbished and i got it for 30 dollars to do dye sublimation using dye sub inks. finally i got a sunnie heat press 15 by 15. . i already had a p cut plotter but i decided two weeks ago i am going to get the craft robo pro because i only do 8.5 by 11 heat transfers for darks. and i have a small screen printing setup for over 25 t-shirts.
.

from what i have learned and was doing it over again i would get a
15 inch craft robo pro(comes with optical registration)
two small epson printers 8.5 by 14 refurbished
a cheap heat press like sunnie or pro world
100 jet pro soft strech paper
50 -100 3g paper
one case of white t shirts
20 blue 20 ash 20 yellow 20 red 20 green 20 black
masking for 3g paper
Teflon sheet 2
also vinyl transfers. most companies sell starter package with primary color
also a roll of white 15 inch by 10 yards or regular sign materials for practicing to cut on
and a ton of patience
and test my market.

at the end of the day if u don't grab the market u haven't spent too much

IF U BUY A RICOH PRINTER, I HAVENT SEEN ANY REFILLABE CARTS ON THE MARKET. SAWGRASS IS THE ONLY DISTRIBUTORS

We will be there when you have questions,,

Congrats on some great purchases...
MMM

Ditto on the Charles comments-the man is amazing. i am not sure he has forgotten anything that he has ever seen or hear in 82 years! He is a wealth of knowledge!
