What is the best way to buy ink from AA? Currently I am buying all my ink in just the back and I swear the help must be drinking it, cause it seems all I do is order white ink.

I did some math and it looks like buying white ink in the bottle is 30% cheaper than in the bags and that adds up. What are the pros & cons of buying in bottles vs bags? Gotta order white again today and trying to come up with a better solution/savings.

Thanks
Larry

i buy all my ink from AA in 1 liter bottles. i use a syringe to refill my white carts. just pull the air out of the bag before using again. on the cmyk side, i use the bulk carts. i just use the funnels and pour! nothing easier than this, and you are saving money and supporting AA.

Sean- thanks. Guess I am a little concerned on handling bulk ink-clogs,etc. I presume you draw straight from the bottle. Do you use a stopper on the bottle or add tubing to the syringe as the bottle gets empty?

Any handling suggestions?

Thanks

what are bulk ink clogs?

i just pour straight from the bottle into the cmyk carts by using one of the funnels that came in my kit. for white ink, i pour into a small glass dish and then use the syringe to put into the carts.

As I promised lower than Lowest. My word is good, at least NeoFamily can trust me.
Ink market is heading as we expected. Now 1/3 of most expensive price. Lower than newbie's with TRUST brand name DuPont.(Someone said AA mixed with water. someone said it is not DuPont, lol). I hope this will give you some room to compete and win our tuff battles. While you know your cost to produce is way lower than many others. Love you all.
Cheers! Beers are on me always.

I am thinking about increase shipping point to serve NeoFamily better and faster. What do you think about this idea? Anyone volunteer for this? I want to go further more than below post.
Cheers! Inks/Beers are on me always.
Your 149.00 per liter price point on DuPont is big big big news in the industry, I still cant believe it!! congrats, I think this will bring AA even greater success!! There should be a banner on TSF flashing this price:) what will 3rd party resellers of DuPont do now, with no margins for these guys? this will change the market quickly.. All better for endusers and the industry in general, time for the other dealers to cut the fat or go home!:)

Going to be purchasing bulk ink today! I'm getting almost twice as much ink for $41 more than buying 8 sealed bags!

For the bulk cartridges for CMYK - do I keep both plugs plugged or does one get unplugged?

Any thoughts about refilling the CMYK bags like Sean does for the white ink?

the large hole stays plugged unless you are filling (that's where the funnel goes). the small hole should always remain open. otherwise you will starve your head.

refilling the white ink carts is much easier than using bulk since you can agitate the ink easier in the bagged carts. when i used the bulk carts for white, i found that the bottom had a lot of white ink sediment that took forever to remove. i couldn't properly "shake" the white ink in the bulk carts. plus less air is in contact with the white ink.

That white sediment build up will happen in any type of bulk system. Thats why the white needs to get agitated as I'm sure you know. I find it to be safe to empty out the white carts and rinse it out with hot water maybe once every 2 weeks. This way you don't risk any of that sediment getting into the lines and traveling down to the head.:)

I was running low on all 4 of my white inks. I just pulled them out yesterday and trashed all 4 of the white bags and inserted 4 new bags that I had purchased from AA....... I'm not sure if I understand, but the bags can be refilled once they get low??? I sure hope so because I was thinking that there will be a ton of wasted $$ every time you trash the ink bags due to not being able to use up all the ink in them......... Is there a video on the process or is it pretty much straight forward? What about CMYK inks? Same process??

On colors you may use the refillable cartridge that came with the machine.
On white you may refill your bags with a syringe and remember to remove the air before reinstall the cartridge.
Any way if you don't refill you may reclaim the ink from the cartridge with a syringe and put all in one of the bags and reuse this bag.

What kind of syringe? Do I buy one with a needle? Ok, so next time my white ink levels get low, is this pretty much how the process goes....... stick needle on syringe through the end of the plastic cap of the ink bag...... start drawing ink out until the bag looks like it's vacuumed sealed ( all air out )....... then fill up syringe with white ink........... insert needle bag into plastic cap on ink bags and put ink back into the same bag?
