I am interested in purchasing a 15x15" press. Any one has any recommendations? Can I use the same press for sublimation and heat transfer? ken

Yes you can for flat items. 15 X 15 may be to small as you grow. Look to local suppliers of silk screen supplier for a used one.

Absolutley, it can even be used for plastisol transfers as well, and as for recommendations, it depends on your budget, but a good name brand is alway's recommended.
A 15x15 is very suitable for all size transfers since any designs that are larger than the platen size can be applied in two steps. We recommend buying from a reputable company that can offer the customer service that you might want for assistance.
I have never thought a 15 x 15 was too small. I have done thousands of transfers with mine. I also pressed pants and made a grilled cheese sandwich
15 X 15 is working great for us. We struggled with the same concern on size and what type to buy.. Well after looking on ebay and craigslist and on this forum and everywhere else under the sun we decided to buy a mighty press and havent looked back since. I can definately see the up side to the 16 X 20 when it comes to alignment, but we use plastisol and inkjet transfers and 15 X 15 has worked great for us. we do uniforms, shirts, sweatshirts, shorts and sweat pants.
We didnt have a lot of money but opted to buy new and from a good vendor and extremely glad we did. But something I dint know when we bought was that a lot of vendors offer financing, so if you are on a limited budget but could swing a monthly payment you might find yourself looking at the press of your choice and a cutter and supplies and well pretty much an entire business package..
