I need to burn a large image on a screen and I only have a small laser printer. If I overlay a piece of velum over another one the overlay washes out ruining the image. Any ideas?
Your question is pretty vague...but I'm guessing your piecing your artwork together and where the pieces overlay it's under exposing. If you have a large size screen I use spray adhesive right on the screen stick the artwork down and burn it in the sun. We only do this on 6 ' FT and over screens for large signs. The sun is bright enough to cross-link the emulsion and will expose the overlapped velum. Good luck.
Have you tried printing on the same piece of vellum twice? Or are you using more than one piece of vellum because you can't fit the graphic on a single piece?
I use 8.5x14 vellum and piece together designs every day. The key, for me, is to trim excess and overlapping area both with in the black images of the design, less then 1/8".
