I just have a couple questions for the preparation for screen printing. I feel like i am not being efficient with thetime when i get ready for screen print.

Is it possible to re use the film positive which was already been exposed?

How long approximately does it take from washing screens to making screens?

How long does it normally take to align the screen? I feel like I am spending too much time on alignment, probably 20 mins or more

I avoided using fans to dry screens after i degrease them because i am afraid that dirt from air will get on the screen and ruin my screen. Am i being too weird about it? I usually just dry it with hair dryer for 10 mins.

Is it okay to claim the screens, degrease them, do emulsion and store them in the dark storage and then expose it whenever i have orders? Or is it better just to get the screens ready right before you print the shirts?

Thank you so much!!

You can reuse films if they're in good shape, many of us often do.

If dust is a problem, I suggest you invest in or build a drying cabinet with an air filter on the inflow. Depending on the size of the fan in it, your screens could be dry and ready to coat quite quickly.

You can precoat your screens and hold in dark storage. I reccomnend that that you try to not store coated screens fir more than a few weeks. A little bit of light contamination is almost inevitable, and that little bit of exposure can add up to give you difficulty with washing out. Especially with detailed images.

I've seen drying cabinets built for less than $20. Wood frame, hardboard shell, wood strips for screen racks, small box fan, and a scrap of filter material from walmart.
You may have many of these things already laying around.
