Built my own DIY DTG printer out of a epson C88 need help

I built my own DIY DTG printer out of an epson C88 printer. I need help over riding the printer's paper sensor. Once I print I either get a paper jam or no paper error light. Can anyone help me figure out how to set the sensor so that I can print. Thank you.

Either I don't understand your issue or you are posting in the wrong thread. This is in the sublimation section and DTG is not for sublimation. But for the ink sensor you need a chip resetter. And maybe the C88 is not a good idea as I thought it was out of production and Epson only supports a printer for 7 years. You might want to check that out before investing to much time and dollars

Wait, so you built a DTG printer out of a C88, meaning you are trying to run shirts through it? Interesting. But I don't think it's a paper sensor that you're looking for. It's the height of the printhead that is probably causing the issue.

Your Epson C88 printer has a MAX paper thickness of 0.27mm (10.63 mil)

If the printhead of the printer doesn't have the appropriate clearance, then the material will not fit and will cause a 'paper jam'.

There are some Epson printers out there that will accept materials such as canvas but shirts, not sure. For canvas, you're looking for at least 23-26 mil thickness. I'm sure shirt fabric is a little thicker especially if it's cotton. There are even velvet surface papers that require like 35 mil thickness but if your printer's printhead cannot move up and down to accept the thick paper feed, you most likely won't be able to do DTG, unless maybe you 'heavily modify' it.

Or are you saying that you CAN print DTG on that C88 but a light comes on after the print is done?

"I'm willing to help people build their DIY DTG printer too, but with one condition. I'm not sharing plans or guides. DIY means "DO-IT-YOURSELF" what I'm willing to help is troubleshooting and errors.
Do not ask for plans or anything.

Nobody give me guides or plans to built it, that's why I used and broke so many printers. All my skills came from youtube videos and forums and testing.

Another thing: my skills is only for Epson T25, C88, 1400 if your trying with other printers I cannot help."
