Brown Automatic Printer

Hi
I have been in the T-shirt business for over 35 years and I am finally going to make the jump to an automatic. I am looking at the Brown Junior Series. Mainly because I can use a 110 volt and I can use 20x24 screens which I have hundreds of. I do understand the is a middle of the road printer but all I want to do is one to four color jobs. I do have a printer that does all my big stuff.

Can anyone that has this printer give me some honest feedback. How much does it generally cost, how does it print on dark color shirts? If my printer has a problem is the service good and readily available?

Thank you in advance
Jazz

Did you ever make a decision on the Brown? I bought one in October (same reasons you were contemplating it) after 20 years as an all-manual shop.

So far, it's been a very disappointing experience. The company managed to send someone out to my location in order to sell me the press, but then failed to deliver on the training promise, and now doesn't want to send anyone, even though we have been unable to resolve our issues over the phone. (Where they're not nearly as available as they led us to believe. We can call anytime, sure, but half the time no one gets back to us.)
Hi
I am sorry to hear you are having problems. We decided not to go with Brown or any other electrical auto printer. We found out that we would still need 220 outlet for the flasher. I also heard bad reviews about the electrical so we decided to go with the freedom workhorse and it has been our best decision. They came to our place, set it up and did training with us for 2 days. As soon as the trainer left the flasher went bad. They sent a replacement part right away and paid for an electrician to install it. They also sent us a couple palette boards for the trouble. Let me know if you ha e any other questions.

Thanks for your reply. I considered Workhorse, but it is (I think) two feet wider in diameter, and space here is at a premium. And there's the part where a sales rep (from a distributor) said he would send me prices and never did.
