So I live in Fresno, which is where the west coast distribution center is for Broder Bros. They've been pushing their new FlexExpress service in email and big banners on their website offering to waive the 6.99 fee as an introductory offer. Basically they'll ship your order to a nearby FedEx retail store such as Kinko's for you to pick up at more convenient hours. Sounds great since the DC is a good 25 minute drive from my house and the closest retail store is more like 5 minutes away. I placed my order yesterday morning needing this order by today at the latest. As it's shipped from the same city, I assumed that it would arrive today. I tracked the package today and it says it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow so I called to see why. They said it's considered "rerouted" to the FedEx retail store so it takes an extra day. If I would have known that, I would have either paid for shipping directly to me or driven down to pick it up today. I scoured their website and ads to find any kind of a tiny disclaimer so that I could smack myself in the forehead for being too hasty and not reading the fine print but there is nothing there except fabulous claims of how convenient this service is.
Anyway, I'm frustrated because now I can't make these shirts tonight to deliver as promised in the morning because I'll have to wait until the package has been delivered to the retail store for me to pick up.
I just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case you're needing your stuff next day. It still sounds like a great program especially with the late hours that the retail shops are open and I will probably use it in the future when I don't need my stuff the next day.
