One of the problems we're all aware of with the DuPont white ink settles/seperates quite quickly.

If you leave your Neoflex for a day without printing I find the seperation takes place in the ink lines and dampers, often this can spoil the first few prints until the good white comes through.

Rather than spoil a few shirts, this is what I do after doing the usual maintenance - i.e. cleaning wiper blade & capping seal etc and of course shaking the white ink cartridges.

I use Printer Jockey to do a white ink flush. Basically what this does is to print just a white block of ink from the 4 (selected) channels. You can also choose the size of the block printed. As the block(s) are printing I can clearly see the white ink improve in opacity and brightness.

I just shot the following video:

Just an idea for anyone having problems with dull looking prints.

I don't have Printer Jockey so my solution has been printing a small 4in x 2in box with a full spectrum gradient onto a small mirror. This costs very little, doesn't waste any shirts and it will fire all 8 channels. When I do this using the black background settings I can rip it and choose to print just the white background or just the cmyk channels.

Good idea Eric, Printer Jockey does allow a purge by channel and at varying levels of purge. Handy little program that does much more but I always used it to purge and individual channel.

Yup, that's the real benefit of Printer Jockey for me, allows me to target just one channel.
