A question came up the other day regarding the print location of a design we did on some polos. The design was a 3 inch circle on women's and men's polos of various sizes. I poked around the internet a bit and talked with some people to see if there was some sort of standard set of guidelines when figuring out the horizontal and vertical location of a breast print. To my surprise I really couldn't find any and from the people I spoke with, there's no set in stone rule, just some very grey guidelines and personal preference. So I wanted to ask you guys your thoughts and processes regarding positioning breast prints on polos.

Whenever I embroider a left chest design or place a printed design I use a little tool called the Embroidery Buddy, can be found at most sewing outlets and stores. It's a backwards "L" shapped tool with all the sizes on it. You place the short "L" side in the middle of the garment and the top of the "L" at the top shoulder seam, place according to whatever size you are doing. The corner of the "L" where the short side and long side meet, is the middle of your design on the chest.
