Received my auto clam 16x20 hotonix from coastal 2 weeks ago.. just got around to turning it on tonight and it's not working It heats up, the timers work but the auto open doesnt open and the pressure readout stays at 0.

anyone got any ideas? I plan on calling coastal tomorrow but I was hoping it might be something simple.

Increase your pressure setting. It will not pop up at that pressure setting. Try a 3 at least. Turn the big screw to increase the pressure.

I turned it all tge way one way then another... In each case it still did not pop up nor give me a pressure reading (stayed at 0)

I had the same problem on a new hotronix i returned it, it was a faulty magnet. Everyone raves about hotronix i'm not convinced my new one has leaking hydraulics

I talked to Joe at Hotronix... It seems it was user error.


We think I had the pressure to light for the auto to pop up. Joe jad me turn the knob until it almost touched the metal, then I turned it the other way for two turns and it began working fine. Once I put a shirt on it, it registered at a 4. I did a couple more turns testing to make sure and it's working fine now!
