Both Anvil 980 and American Apparel fine jersey TOO THIN IN WHITE...

The fit on the AA is perfect and the fit on the Anvil is very close. The problem is that in a bright room you can see through both of these shirts. Is there a heavier shirt that fits similarly that will not be SEETHROUGH in white?

I was wondering the same, I normally use Anvil 779 5.6oz shirts and thought a thicker shirt might me less "transparent", but I got the Anvil 980 and it's just as transparent as the 779. So are 5 other shirts I've tried (different brands, thicknesses). I think it's just the nature of white fabric.
