Some people use both...I dont, I like tape-it would be hard to clean out ink without it-it could get in all the corners and be messy!

depends how close it is to the image. If it's in the middle of an design block out....it's oun the outside I'll slap a piece of tape over it.

Generally tape, because I'm lazy and it's easy. If the screen is particularly bad though I'll use emulsion and a small paint brush. Paint over the pinholes over the light box, then just take the screen out into the sun to expose it.

I use the same adhesive used to glue mesh to the frame and permanently block the mesh. If you plan well, you can make a window just a little smaller than your coater.

Squirt the same glue in the crack between the mesh and frame (doesn't work on Newman Roller Frames), on the squeegee side of the mesh.

Let's say you recycle your screen 20 times. You save the labor of blocking out and the expense of your materials times 20.
