Hello,

Where can I buy blank American Apparel for less than they sell on their website. Are there any companies in the East Coast that sell for a low price?

Try TSC apparel or Georgia Tees

Probably the cheapest way to get American Apparel shirts is through them, by creating a wholesale account. If you don't have a business license and a wholesale account, which you need to have a wholesale account with them, I would look into local screen printers in you area, and ask them if you can put in an order with them. In other words, when they put in an order for AA blanks, see if you can get some tee's on their order. AA and other shirt distributors sell by the piece, dozens, or a case of the same color and size, and the more you buy, the cheaper they are, so everyone could save some money by putting in a larger order. Another thing you should try, is some big name shirt distributors will give you case pricing if you tell them that you're a small business, and can't afford to put in a huge order, but case pricing would help you to sell more and in turn put in bigger orders for them, then they might give you a break. Just to give you an idea, AA case pricing is something like 3 beans a shirt, and dozen pricing is something like 4 beans a shirt. Hope this helps!

Actually, I have found this not to be the case unless you are purchasing hundreds of shirts at once.

Several distributors offer case pricing on single shirts, and AA does not do this.
i use shirtspace.com and they have a pretty good selection at low prices (compared to the website). Not sure how much they go for when you are a big buyer but if I want some from AA i go through them. No minimums and prices reduce the more you order.
Several distributors .
Thanks for the info. Do you have any names for the distributors that offer cheaper pricing then AA?
Thanks
All About Apparel is the name of the company.

Shirt Space Wholesale Blank T Shirts is the website.

if you order something from them they will give you a discount code, or if you ask them on Silkscreeningsupplies.com
I checked out their site, and the advertised prices are definitely higher then through AA wholesale account. I'll try to check out and see about the discount. I kind of like knowing exactly hoe much things are up front, and their selection of colors is limited. It's worth a shot though, thanks for the website.

Yep.

I personally use TSC Apparel.

You will have to set up an account, but once you do, you will be able to see their wholesale pricing on their website.

I've got accounts with TSC and with AA, and can speak from experience that TSC is much cheaper if you're going to be buying quantities that are less than 100, or you need just a few shirts in different colors and sizes.

If you need shirts by the thousands, then I'm sure buying directly from AA is the way to go, otherwise you'd do much better with a distributor like TSC that gives case pricing.

If you're interested in relabeling at all, TSC will also relabel the AA shirts with your label, with no minimums.

Also, because they have warehouses in different parts of the country you can usually get shirts next day without any surcharge. And if you're not close to CA, then the shipping costs will be less also.

Thanks, that sounds great. Do you know, is their color selection good? I've dealt with some shirt distributors that offer great pricing, but the selection is so limited, that it's almost not worth the time of even setting up an account with them. Thanks again.
