hi all

im having a major issue

I have an Epson 4515DN, with InkTec inks, using trupix, and a custom ICC

no matter what settings (heat / time) i seem to change the black always prints out as brown.

I use CMYK in Corel draw X6 (64-bit), Windows 7 (64-bit).

I have tried both

C - 0
M - 0
Y - 0
K - 100

C - 50
M - 50
Y - 50
K - 100

and still the black on all of my mugs sublimate as brown.

any other tips for troubleshooting this?

thanks

Carl.

Try looking at the black in RGB. That is normally a more true black. You should see the corresponding CMYK numbers next to the RGB numbers. Take note of those CMYK numbers and go back to your CMYK color selector and put those numbers in instead of using the 100 k. I hope that works for you.

Hi i am pressing at

180 temp
180 seconds

have dropped seconds down to 140, and 100, and also lowered temp to 140, all same results
i did also use the settings within corel on one image to convert all CMYK to RGB in the find / replace tool

Can you post screenshots of the colour management settings of Corel and your print driver.
Are all your settings in the print driver exactly the same as when you printed off the test swatches to create the profile?
What software did you use to print the swatches?

Hi

see attached images of settings,

i did not print out the test pages from within corel as i was sent Adobe Colour Print utility to do this

also, i have previously created the images i am trying to print off in Corel using all default work space settings as i have never needed to change it prior to buying my sublimation kits.

i copy and paste these vectors into a new document set with the settings above, and i still get the brown instead of black.

the guy who done my ICC is looking into this, but he is probably very busy so i'm hoping someone might be able to help here.

thanks

Carl.

Everything looks fine to me in your settings.
With a new document, in an RGB mode/colour picker, can you paint some black, and see what that is like?

I'm glad you used the Adobe printer utility to print the charts- are the quality and media type settings in the printer utitly the same as when you printed the charts, and was colour settings definitely turned off then too?

Yes all settings for printer the exact same. And colour management was set to off.

Very frustrating :)

I'm not seeing where your custom ICC is being applied. See the attached. It's from CD X5.
