Big mistake

I went through my normal routine to get my shop/garage ready for printing last night. Turned the conveyor belt on, turned the flash unit on, and got all the shirts ready to print. Went outside to water the garden to give the conveyor and flash time to warm up. Came back 15-20 minutes later and started test printing. Test prints looked good so I started printing. Got to about the last 10 pieces out of 53 and realized that I never turned on the conveyor dryer. Every shirt that went through fell into the bin an folded upon itself. All garments were lost. Had this happened to anybody else? Shirts are reordered an will make sure they dryer is turned on an hot when I print tomorrow.

Not to that degree.
We make sure to ck temp on 1st piece of a run just to make sure temps are good to go, as each design has a little different curing parameters dependent on the ink amounts/tyoes.

[email protected]@t happens, and lessons are costly usually.

bet you'll remember this one!:)
Not like that but one time I managed to not put a shirt through the dryer. Have NO clue how that happened. The customer called saying that ink was all over and washed out. I freaked thinking the whole batch was bad, but come to find out that was the only shirt. Just had to replace it and the one shirt that was above it in the pile that got ink on it.
I've had the conveyor dryer stop heating and this happened to me. I had to rewire everything, but it wasn't pretty either. ;)
That's pretty bad, bit at least it never made it to the customer. That makes it much worse.. I gave a customer tote bags that were blue with white ink. The ink never fully cured and I packed them tightly in a box which rubbed off some dry in on every other one. 80 pcs. Gave them to the customer, had to redo the job and give her a free run to keep the customer. My bad, but I took care of it.. and irs a good thing I did because she kept using me and I've easily made back that messup 10x over with her.
Oh and if you "water the flowers" like I do, you should always wait till the printings done before you do it.
boy atleast you got it in time. would have sucked if you printed all and then oh forgot. it happens. I sometimes forget to double check that the flash is up to temp sometimes. I'm having that problem right now. its a 2 color job. well the first ink is royal and second is orange. well noticed on the orange screen that the royal has somewhat inked itself to the underside. said well got to double check when I move back. maybe make yourself a small check list for everyjob like inks check, screens check, flash dryer on and working check, tunnel on and running check. sounds stupid but you can't fix a problem unless you know where to look and since you said oh I forgot to get the dryer running you new where to look.

No.. My dryer has a digital temp controller with readout and indicator lights that tell me the heat panels are actually working. I am looking right at all that when I put a shirt on the belt. So no, it has never happened to me.
Had a load of shirts bunch up in the conveyor drier when 1 got stuck.

Caused a shirt traffic jam, felt like it was about to catch fire and once I pulled them free, they were all stuck to each other. P****d me right off!

I was printing my second job the other day when I looked at the dryer and was wondering why I was not keeping pace with my dryer speed. Normally I 2 on before the first one drops, but the other day I was barley getting the second one on before the first one was out. I put it behind me thinking it was just me being slow trying not to mess up the shirts, and then I looked at the belt speed and it was set way higher than I normally have it set, went through 15 or so shirts before I caught it. The ink did not cure all of the way and 14 shirts got ink on their backside. But thank god for the spot cleaning gun that came in my kit. It is truly a miracle worker.

Speaking of a Spot gun workout. Years back I was printing around 650 shirts with some very expensive ink (in the $300.00 per gallon range). This ink is invisible when printed and only shows what color it is when exposed to UV light like the sun. You can also briefly see it when the shirt exits the dryer but it is very faint. Anyway, about 400 shirts into a 650 shirt run my wife noticed a little spot above the image. Turns out I forgot to tape of a set of reg marks on one of the screens. We had to blow out 800 registration marks that you could not see. We held the shirts under a grow light so we could see the marks.

Hahaha, now that is classic!
Just watering the garden? Always hate stories like that, good luck uncletee.
I really did have to water the garden. My veggie plants were starting to shrivel up due to the heat. Shriveled up veggie plants = no food for me.
