Hey guys,

I make hoods that button to collared shirts, just hoods. The hoods have two seams going down the back giving the hood three pieces (left, right, middle). Material is 100% cotton.

I have a very colorful design that I would like to design on all three panels of the hood. I've been told DTG / Sublimation is best to do this but will have to be done on the three pieces separately and then sewn together?

Does anyone have any information or experience with this? Any help is appreciated!

Your material would have to be polyester in order to use sublimation. So DTG or screen printing are your other options.

Unless the completed hood can be laid completely flat for printing, you would have to print each panel first, then sew them together.

I don't want to use polyester and I can't print it on the hood afterward because it definitely can't be completely flat. Are you saying that I can use DTG on cotton after the hood is already assembled?

No, I'm saying any all-over print on an assembled hood is not possible unless it can be laid flat.
